After you update ForgeOS on the READY Pendant, follow these steps to update the robot driver files on the robot controller.

Getting Robot Driver Files From ForgeOS
Open the Device Configuration app.
Select your configured robot and tap Edit.
Insert a USB drive into the Forge IPC.
Tap Start Transfer.
Wait for the transfer to finish.
Transferring Robot Driver Files
Install RC+ on a Windows computer.
The install files for the full version of RC+ came with the purchase of your robot.
Insert the USB drive with the robot driver files into the Windows PC.
This USB cable came with the purchase of your robot.
If you see this pop-up and the default boot mode isn't Program Mode, click Change To Program Mode before the 5 second countdown expires.
If you set a password, enter it. Then click OK.
Click through any pop-ups.
- If you see "Would you like to monitor controller operation?" before Program Mode boots, click Yes. If you see this prompt a second time, click No.
- If you see "Do you want to start another session?", click Yes.
- If you see "What do you want to do?" select Stop all tasks, then click OK.
Expand the Connection dropdown in the Toolbar. Select USB to connect to your robot.
The USB option is only available when:
- You are using the full version of RC+.
- Your USB cable is connected to the robot controller and Windows PC.
Open the Project tab. Click Import.
Set the import location as PC. Then click Next.
Select a project type of EPSON RC+ 7.x. Then select the copied "ready-epson-driver" project. Click Next.
Type "EPSON_DRIVER" in the Destination Project Name field. Then click Next.
If you do not change the Destination Project Name from the default "READY_EPSON_DRIVER" to "EPSON_DRIVER", you will get an error upon import that the project cannot have the same name as the destination.
Select the Open Destination Project After Import checkbox. Click Import.
In the Project tab, click Properties.
In the Compiler tab, set the Compiler Version to v7.5.2.x (or later). Click Apply and then Close.
Open the Run tab. Click Run Window.
Start the driver in Remote I/O mode by clicking Enable Remote I/O. Click Yes in the pop-up window to start BGMain.
Unplug the USB cable from your Windows PC and robot controller. A "Communication disconnection detected" pop-up appears in RC+.
