      FAQ: What USB format should I use?

      ForgeOS supports these file system formats: FAT32, exFAT, NTFS, and ext4. The required storage size depends on what you're doing.

      • Activating the Forge/OS license? --> 1GB
      • Transferring robot driver configuration files? --> 1GB
      • Exporting a task to another robot? --> 1GB
      • Updating to the latest version of ForgeOS? --> 8GB (exFAT or NTFS)

      Note: ForgeOS update files are too large for the FAT32 format, so use exFAT or NTFS instead for updates.

      Tip: If you can, get a few 8GB flash drives from a reputable brand and format them to exFAT. This should cover all your bases.
